14 Frith Street Park is officially open
Building Engineering is excited to announce the completion of our latest project, 14 Frith Street Park in Brunswick! Last week, the community gathered for the official opening ceremony, and it was heartwarming to see locals embracing and enjoying this new space.
14 Frith Street Park, part of the Merri-bek City Council’s ‘A Park Close to Home’ initiative, marks a significant transformation. What was once a dormant warehouse has become a vibrant urban parkland, complete with a warm shell restaurant/café tenancy, now primed and ready for the community.
Located in the heart of Brunswick, this redevelopment effort is a symbol of community revitalisation. Our team worked closely with the Merri-bek City Council to preserve the site’s industrial heritage by maintaining the structural steelwork and upgrading the original brick façade while undertaking extensive demolition and redevelopment efforts.
Building on our strong relationship with Merri-bek City Council, this is the latest in a series of successful collaborations following the redevelopment of Fleming Park and the award-winning Glenroy Community Hub. We are dedicated to creating spaces that enhance community well-being and bring people together.
Thank you to our industry partners: DesignInc, Adams Consulting Engineers, Cundall, RVM Consulting, Outlines Landscape Architecture, and Wilde and Woollard. Their expertise and passion have been crucial in making this project a reality.
14 Frith Street Park is now officially open, and we encourage everyone to come and experience this new green space for themselves. This park is set to become a cherished part of life in Brunswick.
