Building Engineering makes waves at Melbourne Corporate Triathlon
In a thrilling display of athleticism and camaraderie, the Building Engineering team made a splash at the Melbourne Corporate Triathlon in Elwood last Sunday. With a record-breaking turnout of over 29 participants, this year marked our biggest showing yet.
Decked out in our vibrant new 20-year celebration kits, the team exuded confidence and unity as they geared up for the challenge ahead. Clear skies and balmy temperatures in the mid-20s created the perfect backdrop for the day.
What truly set our participation apart was the inclusive nature of the event, transforming it into a full-fledged family affair. From little ones cheering on the sidelines to loved ones soaking in the atmosphere, it was a testament to the strong sense of community within our team.
The adrenaline-pumping action kicked off with three teams diving into the full triathlon, a gruelling test of endurance comprising a 400m open water swim, a 10km bike ride, and a 5km run. Meanwhile, seven additional teams joined forces for the fun relay, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
After crossing the finish line, the team wasted no time in firing up the BBQ, treating themselves to a well-deserved feast of sizzling delights. It was a moment to bask in the camaraderie forged through shared challenges and triumphs.
Beyond the physical exertion, the event serves as a powerful platform for team building and fostering a sense of unity among colleagues. It reinforced the values of collaboration, resilience, and mutual support that lie at the heart of Building Engineering’s culture.
With memories made and bonds strengthened, we eagerly anticipate next year’s event. Well done, team!
