The St Clare Performing Arts Centre: a symphony of creativity and innovation
Building Engineering proudly presents the St Clare Performing Arts Centre (PAC) at Padua College’s Mornington campus. Our commitment to excellence and innovation shines through in this 2,500 sqm state-of-the-art performing arts teaching facility.
The PAC, comprised of three distinctive ‘cubes’ dedicated to music, dance, and drama teaching, is a testament to our expertise in delivering cutting-edge educational spaces. The facility boasts a magnificent double-volume theatre, generously accommodating over 300 patrons.
Noteworthy is the inclusion of outdoor performance spaces along the eastern deck and bleachers facing the oval, providing a versatile setting for a variety of artistic expressions.
A key feature of the PAC is the multilevel internal design of the theatre space. The theatre can transform quickly from a teaching format through retractable seating and mechanical decking while achieving several different seating configurations.
Building Engineering has thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Padua College and esteemed project partners, including Baldasso Cortese, FMG Engineering, Waterman Group, and Charcoalblue. Together, we have crafted a space that harmoniously blends creativity, functionality, and performance.
The installation of a significant overlay of stage sound, lighting, and audio-visual equipment further elevates the PAC’s capabilities, promising an unparalleled experience for performers and audiences alike.
Building Engineering takes pride in contributing to the cultural and educational landscape with the completion of the St Clare Performing Arts Centre. This facility stands as a testament to our dedication to quality workmanship, collaboration, and creating spaces that inspire generations to come.
