Celebrating Jake Lewis’s well-earned promotion from Contract Administrator to Project Manager

Building Engineering is proud to announce the promotion of Jake Lewis from Contract Administrator to Project Manager. Jake’s unwavering dedication, exceptional skills, and six years of invaluable contributions have elevated him within the company and significantly benefited the projects he’s been involved in.

Jake began his journey with Building Engineering as a Cadet Estimator, joining the business under the Graduate Program. His passion for the field and relentless commitment to excellence quickly set him on a trajectory toward success. His first project, the West Gippsland Arts Centre, demonstrated his enthusiasm and aptitude for project management.

Jake has completed an impressive seven projects throughout his tenure, each showcasing his expertise and proficiency in orchestrating complex construction projects. He has recently been working on the 380 St Kilda Road project, a 15-level, A-grade commercial building prominently located at the city end of St Kilda Road, and is currently leading the team on the Ivanhoe Grammar School – Plenty Campus Aquatic and Wellness Centre project.

Among his achievements, one stands out as a defining moment in his career with Building Engineering: the triumphant delivery of the $60 million Ivanhoe Grammar School – Ivanhoe Campus Sports & Aquatic Centre in 2021. This accomplishment highlights Jake’s commitment to seeing projects through from inception to completion, a testament to his ability to tackle challenges head-on and ensure seamless progress.

When asked about his favourite aspects of working at Building Engineering, Jake spoke passionately about the camaraderie he shares with his colleagues and the stimulating work environment that fosters collaboration. His appreciation for the people he works with resonates deeply within the company culture and contributes to the positive synergy that drives the team forward.

Jake’s journey from a Cadet Estimator to a distinguished Project Manager serves as an inspiration to his colleagues and an example of what can be achieved through dedication and continuous improvement. His promotion reflects not only his individual growth but also Building Engineering’s investment in nurturing talent and fostering professional development.
