David Scott School unveils new learning centre
David Scott School in Frankston marked a proud and exciting achievement recently, celebrating the official opening of its brand-new two-storey learning facility at the end of Term 1. This milestone comes after the school’s successful move into the new building at the start of the 2025 school year — a fresh chapter already making a positive impact.
The project involved demolishing the original single-storey building to make way for a contemporary new learning space designed to support students’ diverse and evolving needs. The thoughtfully designed building now houses six modern classrooms alongside a dedicated teaching, training, and social enterprise space, providing dynamic learning opportunities under one roof.
Integral amenities such as toilets and a passenger lift were seamlessly integrated into the design, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all students and staff. The project also extended beyond the building, with hard and soft landscaping works delivering inviting and functional outdoor spaces.
Reflecting on the journey, Assistant Principal Stacey Bushell shared,
“It’s been a journey full of challenges and triumphs, and I’m incredibly grateful for the perseverance and dedication that made this project a reality for our students. A huge thank you to the amazing teams who supported us along the way. Now, just a term in, our students are already thriving in this new space, and we’re excited for all the learning and opportunities ahead.”
We’re proud to have contributed to delivering a project that provides state-of-the-art facilities and creates a vibrant environment where students can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
