Project update: ‘A Park Close to Home’
We’re thrilled to share the latest progress on our ‘A Park Close to Home’ project in Brunswick! Collaborating closely with the Merri-bek City Council, we’re in the process of transforming 14 Frith Street from a dormant warehouse into a vibrant parkland, complete with a warm shell restaurant/café tenancy ready to welcome visitors.
At the heart of Brunswick, the ‘A Park Close to Home’ project is bringing new life to the community. The project scope consists of a thorough redevelopment effort, encompassing the revitalisation of the area by preserving the structural steelwork whilst revamping the existing brick façade through extensive demolition work.
We are thrilled to continue our strong partnership with the Merri-bek City Council. We’re proud to have recently delivered two successful projects with them, including the Fleming Park Redevelopment and the multi-award-winning Glenroy Community Hub. We are united in our commitment to enhancing community spaces.
In addition to our esteemed partnership with the Merri-bek City Council, we’re delighted to work alongside leading industry partners, including DesignInc, Adams Consulting Engineers, Cundall, RVM Consulting, Outlines Landscape Architecture, and Wilde and Woollard.
Current project progress includes the demolition of the foundry brick wall, removal of the roof trusses, and demolition of the perimeter footings.
Our current efforts are concentrated on pouring bored piers for the masonry wall footings and finalising the south inground services (sewer and stormwater). Additionally, we’re gearing up to commence hard landscaping works, including the installation of concrete pathways, pavement, stairs, softball pavements, and climbing walls.
We’re on track to complete the project by the third quarter of 2024.
Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to bring this green space to life!
