Topping-out ceremony marks major milestone at Bogong Car Park Extension
Last Thursday, Building Engineering celebrated a significant milestone in constructing the Bogong Car Park Extension in Glen Waverley. The topping-out ceremony marked the final concrete pour for Level 7. This event signifies the near completion of the structural work on the multi-level car park, a key project for the City of Monash.
As part of construction tradition, a tree was craned to the top of the structure, a symbolic gesture that represents reaching the highest point of the building. This age-old tradition is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved in the project.
The celebration brought together key partners involved in the project, including City of Monash representatives, Katz Architecture, L&R Engineers, and Touch Projects, who have all played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful progress of the development. The close collaboration between all teams has been crucial in reaching this milestone, and we are incredibly grateful for the partnership and dedication shown by everyone involved.
Once completed, this extension will significantly enhance access to the bustling Glen Waverley precinct, providing much-needed parking spaces to support the local community and businesses. Designed to accommodate growing demand, the multi-level car park will ease congestion and improve convenience for residents, visitors, and commuters.
We are now looking ahead to the final stages of the project, with completion and handover anticipated for early 2025.
Stay tuned for further updates as we approach the final delivery of this exciting project!
