Westgarth Primary School project hosts Safe Morning Tea for National Work Safe Month
This morning, the Westgarth Primary School project team kicked off National Work Safe Month with a lively Safe Morning Tea, highlighting the importance of workplace safety as we approach the end of the year. A big shoutout to our amazing digital platform partner, 1Breadcrumb, for bringing the buzz with a coffee cart on-site! These Safe Tea events emphasise safety and strengthen camaraderie and community spirit among our team.
After the morning tea, the team gathered for a Toolbox session centred on reinforcing safety practices throughout October, emphasising staying vigilant as the busy holiday season approaches. This year, we launched the “Think Ahead” campaign to encourage proactive thinking and continuous focus on safety across all job sites. It’s all about planning ahead and making safety a top priority every day.
About the project: The Westgarth Primary School development includes the construction of a state-of-the-art, competition-grade gymnasium and a modern classroom building. The project also features extensive landscaping and an outdoor undercover area. Additionally, significant upgrades are being made to the existing hall, removing outdated toilets and storerooms to create space for a central landscaped area and a new hardcourt.
“Today’s event was a fantastic opportunity to unite our team and reinforce the vital message of safety in our work environment,” said Building Engineering’s IMS Manager George Papadopetros. “With the Think Ahead campaign, we’re committed to fostering a culture of shared responsibility for safety that extends beyond the site and into our everyday lives.”
As the team looks forward to completing the Westgarth Primary School project, they remain dedicated to ensuring the well-being of all workers and the surrounding community, exemplifying the core values of National Work Safe Month. At Building Engineering, we believe safety is everyone’s business, and we’re committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all.
