The ‘A Park Close to Home’ project involved the delivery of a new park to the heart of Brunswick, at 14 Frith Street. This project included the transformation of an old warehouse into a vibrant parkland, complete with a warm shell restaurant/café tenancy.
The project scope consisted of a thorough redevelopment effort, encompassing the revitalisation of the area by preserving the structural steelwork whilst revamping the existing brick façade through extensive demolition work.
The park is the Merri-bek City Council’s newest ‘Park Close to Home’ – a Council initiative which aims to improve access to open space in areas of Merri-bek with no parks in walking distance.
