Building Engineering is proud to announce our latest project, awarded by Court Services Victoria: expanding the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court to accommodate a Specialist Family Violence Court (SFVC). This significant project underscores our commitment to enhancing community infrastructure and supporting vital court services.
The SFVC Expansion Project involves a comprehensive modification of the existing Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court to better serve the community’s needs. Key components of the project include:
- Demolition and reconstruction: demolition of current layouts to make way for new, purpose-built areas
- Delivery of all fit out works
- Staged completion: The project will be delivered in stages to minimise the impact on the court’s ongoing operations and ensure uninterrupted court proceedings.
- The structural works include underpinning, demolition, and modifications to the existing structure, followed by shoring piles and new raft foundations. The new building features structural steel, concrete elements, and blockwork, with a façade combining Equitone fibre cement sheets and Flemish bond brickwork with protruding header bricks
The project is slated for completion within 20 months. Our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest safety and efficiency standards, working diligently to ensure minimal disruption to the court’s daily functions.
Our involvement in the SFVC Expansion project underscores our dedication to enhancing court infrastructure and supporting the community. We are committed to delivering a project that meets and exceeds expectations, ensuring the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court continues to provide essential services to the community.
