Building Engineering was appointed by Eastern Health in March 2019 to deliver this new, state-of-the-art MRI and Nuclear Medicine (NM) facility.
The scope of works included major demolition, alteration, and construction work within the old Emergency Department of Building B on the ground floor, adjacent to the existing Medical Imaging Department.
Works were completed in a live environment, with minimal impact to the existing hospital functions and daily activities.
The new facility includes MRI, NM, and PET Scan facilities and will significantly increase the capacity of service and improve access to medical imaging services for the community in the Eastern suburbs.
Works were completed in October 2019.
