Building Engineering was appointed by Eastern Health and the Department of Health & Human Services in December 2016 to undertake construction works on this significant health facility in Ringwood.
The centre is designed to bring together breast screening, breast oncology, medical care, and associated support services under one roof.
The scope of works encompassed the demolition of the existing administration building and the construction of a new three-story Breast Cancer Centre with:
- Reception
- Waiting area
- Patient lounge
- Group room
- Allied consulting rooms
- Consult exam rooms
- Technical suites including ultrasound and mammography
- Nurse hub staff room
- Technician offices
- Storage and amenities.
Works included the construction of a new two-storey car park with 34 spaces.
