Scope of works included the demolition and removal of existing external cladding, sarking, and insulation material and replacement with non-combustible Vitraduel solid aluminium panel cladding, sarking, and insulation.
Cladding removal activities were required predominately on the west and north facades over all levels, with minor works required to the south elevation. An internal courtyard void and rooftop elements also required removal works.
Access to the courtyard was achieved through a vacant tenancy at ground level, accessed from the attached multi-storey car park.
Included in the scope of works was the removal and replacement of the existing louvres and signage, upgrading external lighting and security systems, and reinstatement of soft landscaping.
Works required close coordination with the hospital, the Owners Corporation and the tenants.
Public safety was maintained throughout construction through the extensive use of hoardings and barricades.
Works to the hospital entrance was completed overnight to maintain daytime access for patients and staff.
